Dredging group Boskalis has acquired a stake of at least 6.65% in port services company Smit International, the Financieele Dagblad reports.
Boskalis made a €1.1bn offer for Smit on Monday, but the bid was rejected for undervaluing the company. If Boskalis can build up its stake to 10%, it can force a shareholders meeting, the FD says.
